The Oberhasli Breeders of American was founded approximately two years before the Oberhasli was accepted into the American Dairy Goat Association with their own herdbook in 1977.

The OBA has worked very hard to develop the breed standard, the description of what an Oberhasli should look like. They also developed the many programs that the club offers today. As you browse through this webpage, you can explore the programs OBA offers, including All American, Premier Youth, Specialty Shows, and the Swiss Belle Awards. The OBA is open to all interested people, you don't even have to own Oberhasli goats "yet"; but we promise you that once you meet one they will steal your heart.
